Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Muuvo™ platform, including https://muuvo.coand related applications (the “Service”), operated by Muuvo (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Muuvo is a pre-disposal platform that connects people moving home (“Listers”) with individuals who want free items (“Requesters”) and with partner organisations (“Partners”) that facilitate reuse, recycling, and logistics. Muuvo also provides facility and enterprise tools for commercial closure, relocation, asset reuse, recycling, reporting, and related operational workflows. Muuvo acts as a platform intermediary and is not a party to transactions between Listers, Requesters, facility operators, and Partners unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you are 18 or older and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. MuuvoCampus accounts additionally require a valid student affiliation with a registered university partner.
3. Accounts
3.1 Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3.2 Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users or the platform.
4. Listings
4.1 Accuracy
Listers must accurately describe items, including condition, faults, quantity, and move-out date. Misrepresentation of item condition or false move-out dates may result in penalty fees and account suspension.
4.2 Prohibited items
You may not list items that are illegal, hazardous, stolen, or that infringe third-party intellectual property rights. Muuvo reserves the right to remove any listing at its discretion.
4.3 Fees
Listers pay a listing fee calculated based on item class (A, B, or C), quantity, and move-out date. Bundle discounts apply at 3 items (10% off) and 5 or more items (15% off). All fees are in Japanese Yen (JPY) and are non-refundable once a route has been dispatched.
4.4 Automated assistance
Muuvo may use automated or AI-assisted tools to help classify items, generate descriptions, estimate route or recycler outcomes, validate uploaded photos, and support operational review. These tools are assistive only. Users remain responsible for checking information before relying on it, and Muuvo may correct, remove, or re-route listings or assets when information appears inaccurate, unsafe, or incomplete.
5. Orders and Delivery
5.1 Delivery fees
Requesters who select paid delivery pay a delivery fee calculated at checkout based on item size, delivery zone, and applicable surcharges. Delivery is only available in covered prefectures. Muuvo reserves the right to cancel orders outside covered zones and issue a full refund.
5.2 Pickup
Items collected via self-pickup are the responsibility of the Requester once collected. Muuvo is not liable for damage occurring after collection.
5.3 Cancellations and disputes
Cancellation and dispute resolution is handled through the in-app dispute flow. Muuvo’s decision on dispute outcomes is final. Refunds, where applicable, are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
6. Payments
All payments are processed by Stripe. By making a payment you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service. Muuvo does not store full payment card details. All amounts are in Japanese Yen (JPY). No foreign currency conversion is performed or offered.
7. Partner Organisations
Partners (recyclers, reuse organisations, and logistics providers) operate under separate partner agreements. Partner ESG reports generated by Muuvo are for informational purposes only and do not constitute audited environmental or financial statements.
8. MuuvoCampus
MuuvoCampus accounts are available to students of registered university partners. Providing false student credentials is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination and recovery of any discounts or benefits obtained.
9. Facility and Enterprise Services
9.1 Enterprise access
Facility and enterprise accounts are intended for authorised personnel of approved facility operators, group managers, technicians, recipients, and other business users. Access may be limited by company, site, service zone, closure, role, assignment, or other operational controls. You must not share accounts, access another company’s workspace without authorisation, or use information obtained through the Service for purposes unrelated to an approved facility workflow.
9.2 Facility asset records
Facility users are responsible for providing accurate asset details, quantities, photos, condition information, service-zone details, site information, deadlines, and transfer or recycler instructions. Photos and records uploaded for facility workflows may be used to classify assets, support matching, support recycler routing, generate reports, and create audit logs or certificates.
9.3 Matching, reservation, transfer, and recycler routing
Muuvo may route facility assets through same-chain reuse, approved cross-chain reuse where enabled, reservation, transfer, recycler backstop, or other operational paths. Availability, deadlines, eligibility, and routing outcomes may change based on asset condition, quantity, site closure timing, user permissions, recipient confirmation, and operational constraints. Muuvo does not guarantee that a particular asset will be reused, transferred, collected, or recycled by a specific recipient or partner.
9.4 Reports, certificates, and audit logs
Facility reports, exports, ESG summaries, diversion estimates, certificates, and audit logs are provided for operational tracking and informational purposes. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, they are not audited environmental, tax, accounting, or legal certifications and should be independently reviewed before external reporting or regulatory use.
9.5 Facility fees and invoicing
Facility fees, invoice cadence, payment terms, and billing models may be set in a separate written agreement, order form, pilot agreement, or facility operator configuration. Where Stripe or another payment provider is used, their terms may also apply. Muuvo may defer or withhold facility certificates, exports, or invoices where required information is missing or a workflow has not reached the required status.
10. Intellectual Property
The Muuvo name, logo, wordmark, and platform software are the property of Muuvo and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of photographs and content you upload, but grant Muuvo a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content in connection with the Service.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Muuvo does not guarantee the accuracy of listing descriptions, the availability of items, or the conduct of other users. To the maximum extent permitted by Japanese law, Muuvo’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid to Muuvo in the 3 months preceding the claim.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance, unless mandatory consumer protection law requires otherwise.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
